発表題目 | Do microRNA156a/168a regulate mycorrhizal formation in Populus tomentosa? Do microRNA156a/168a regulate mycorrhizal formation in Populus tomentosa? |
要旨本文 | MicroRNAs are small single-strand non-coding RNAs containing 18 to 24 nucleotides. Several miRNAs such as miR171, miR393, miR399 have been reported to regulate mycorrhizal formation which are beneficial association to plant growth. The previous studies reported that miR156 in A. thaliana responded to phosphate deficiency in the root and the suppression of miR168 improved the immunity in Oryza sativa, which could affect mycorrhizal formation. Thus, the aim of this study was to explore whether miR156a/168a regulate mycorrhizal formation. Firstly, the target genes of both miRNAs in Populus tomentosa were analyzed. Secondly, we constructed overexpressed, knocked-down, and knocked-out mutants of P. tomemtosa\ for miR156a/168a. Next, we will inoculate Cenococcum geophilum to mutants to assess infection ability and reveal the genes regulating mycorrhizal formation. This research will contribute to comprehensively understanding the mechanism of mycorrhizal formation. |
