要旨本文 | Our research aims to investigate the relationship between organic carbon in soil and soil properties within Japanese cedar plantations using principal component analysis. Soil samples were collected, and measurements of soil properties were conducted across different plantation ages. The result revealed that the negative relationship observed between organic carbon in soil and PC1 suggests differing positive responses related to the composition of soil texture, especially in sand. However, soil moisture and electrical conductivity are significantly negatively correlated with PC1. PC2 highlights distinct aspects, indicating significant correlations in the composition of soil texture, especially in silt and clay. Our findings provide valuable insights into the diverse relationships between organic carbon in soil and soil properties. Moreover, these findings contribute to better soil management strategies in managed forest ecosystems. |
