要旨本文 | Cenococcum geophilum (Cg) thrives in global forests, establishing symbiotic relationships with trees. However, the molecular mechanism of mycorrhizal formation remains unclear. Through a gene-wide association study (GWAS), 1107 genes and 105 significant SNPs were identified. Twenty genes were selected for further analysis combined with the transcriptomic analysis. Notably, a positive correlation between the mutation rate among 105 SNPs and Cg infectivity was observed. Subsequently, 10 highly infectious Cg isolates with elevated mutation rates and 10 non-infectious isolates with low mutation rates underwent a one-month inoculation experiment on Populus tomentosa to quantify the gene expressions by RT-qPCR. Additionally, the distribution of different genotypes in the Cg population revealed a significant positive correlation with infectivity. Overall, this study provides insight into the relationship between the infectivity and genotype of Cg. |
